                Gifts for Art Lovers
Here are some gift ideas for the art maker on your list.  These are art supplies that I love.    Anything with an "*" go to your local art supply store where the sales people are artists and very familiar with their supplies.  They will be happy to help you.  Ask them questions!  Otherwise, go to a craft store (with that 40% off coupon that comes in the Sunday paper). I've noticed that there are 3 types of art folks, the drawing crowd, the color crowd and the 3D crowd (this especially applies to children.)

Think of storage and portability when giving art supplies.  Those  sets of drawers on rolling feet are great.  You can store everything inside and roll it right up to the kitchen table to work.
With that in mind, here are some ideas.

*For Japanese Marbling you will also need a shallow (1"-2" deep) plastic tray  which is larger in height & width than the paper you plan to marble.  A spot to dry your papers (I use one of those laundry dryers).  Work near a sink or water supply.
